Port Coquitlam, BC— Coastal (15-16-1-1) finds themselves in a playoff spot after tonight’s game, earning a much-needed victory against the Port Coquitlam Trailblazers (18-11-2-0) in overtime.
It was a game with many offensive moments, with the two teams combining for 99 shots and five power-play goals.
Each time the Tsunami managed to lead 1-0, the Trailblazers would tie the game. This pattern continued until the overtime period when Jake Yakubowski (9) put Port Coquitlam away for good.
Coastal had goals from Patrick Dolan (8 PP), Rocky Nordvie (7 PP), Jake Yakubowski (8, 9), and Caige Starr (1 PP).
Port Coquitlam was led by a three-goal outing by Bailey Ewonus (20 PP, 21, 22 PP), and a marker from Charlie Gardiner (12).
Coastal is back home on December 30, playing the Port Coquitlam Trailblazers in their final home game of 2024.
